Essel Group Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra’s Father Nand Kishore Goenka Laid to Rest, Leaders Pay Tribute
Nand Kishore Goenka, father of Essel Group Chairman Dr. Subhash Chandra, was cremated at Agroha Dham in Hisar on July 15, 2026. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal expressed condolences, remembering Goenka’s lifelong dedication to social service, values, and community welfare.
Union Minister for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal conveyed his condolences to Dr. Subhash Chandra through a letter following the death of his father. In his message, Meghwal wrote, “I received the deeply saddening news of the demise of your revered father and renowned social worker Nand Kishore Goenka. In this unbearable moment of grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to you and all the bereaved family members.”
Meghwal further stated that Nand Kishore Goenka’s entire life, personality, and achievements would continue to remain a constant source of inspiration for everyone. He highlighted that Goenka’s life, enriched with knowledge, hard work, service, and values, remained dedicated throughout to public welfare and social good. The values established by him, his high ideals, and his guidance would continue to inspire and guide future generations.
The Union Minister also described Nand Kishore Goenka as a committed thinker, a lifelong dedicated volunteer of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and a leading inspiration behind cow service and various social initiatives. He said that Goenka always gave the highest priority to social welfare.
Meghwal stated that Goenka’s simple lifestyle, humble and modest personality, commitment to duty, love for the nation, and unwavering dedication towards society would always be remembered. He added that Goenka’s principled way of life and commitment to service would remain a lasting source of inspiration for society.
Concluding his message, Arjun Ram Meghwal prayed to the Almighty to grant a place to the departed soul at the divine feet and provide strength, patience, and support to the grieving family members to bear this irreparable loss. He ended his condolence message with the words, “Om Shanti.”
